Simon Messing is currently working on two projects.

1. Maize Dioxygenase viviparous 14, a protein involved in Abscisic Acid synthesis, an important plant hormone.

2. Nrf2 a transcription factor responsible for activating several proteins involved in the antioxidant response pathway.
