Congratulations to Ed Twomey for making the 2021 Forbes 30 under 30 list for Science!

Alfred Chin, a JHU Biophysics undergraduate student in Dr. Lau’s lab, published a first-author paper in the journal Structure, “D-Serine Potently Drives Ligand-Binding Domain Closure in the Ionotropic Glutamate Receptor GluD2.” Link: https://www.cell.com/structure/fulltext/S0969-2126(20)30238-0  

Katie Wright won a first place Fellow Research Day Award at our Cancer Center’s Fellow Research Day Event in May 2020.

Amy Fernandez, a PMB student in Dr. Bergers’ lab and Jasmin Zarb, a BCMB student in Dr. Ha’s lab!  They are both recipients of the NSF Fellowships.

Mayukh Chakrabarti, a PMB student in Dr. Amzel’s lab, published a first-author publication in the journal Structure, entitled “Allosteric Activation of PI3Ka Results in Dynamic Access to Catalytically Competent Conformations.”

Congratulations to Wolberger lab postdoc, Evan Worden, who received the Young Investigators’ Day Paul Ehrlich award. Evan will give a talk about his work at the Young Investigators’ Day symposium on April 7, 3-5 pm in Mountcastle Auditorium, PCTB.
