Biophysics Research for Baltimore Teens Program (BRBT)
The Biophysics Research for Baltimore Teens (BRBT) program provides opportunities for Baltimore City high school students to experience cutting-edge biomedical research at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). Our paid, summer internship program runs for six weeks in the first year and involves hands-on biophysics education and laboratory training in sate-of-the-art teaching facilities. Select interns are then invited back for the second summer to perform full-time eight-week independent research at JHU laboratories.

Fun with Science Summer Camp
The Department of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry and the Institute of Basic Biomedical Sciences at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, in conjunction with East Baltimore Community Affairs, host an annual week-long Fun with Science summer camp for eligible rising 6th graders in Baltimore inner city schools. The science camp has been in place since 2008, and provided fun science activities, free of charge, to more than 150 local elementary school students over the years. For more information, please contact camp director Dr. Bin Wu at bwu20@jhmi.edu.
